The Wild Tenerife Nightlife

When it comes time to plan your next holiday, you are likely to focus your efforts on finding daytime attractions to visit like beaches and museums. In a destination such as Tenerife – where the weather seems to always smile on tourists – it is not a bad idea to pack those sunny days with outdoor entertainment. But your fun doesn’t have to set with the sun, and if you still have energy left after a long day at the beach, you might tap into the wild and ample Tenerife nightlife.

When the sun sets, the tourist energy shifts to resort districts like Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos where there are bars and nightclubs by the dozens. While America and many European countries require establishments to close at 2 A.M. or even midnight, Tenerife sets no such boundaries and many party people stay out until sunrise during peak season in the summer. In the Playa de las Americas district, you won’t want to miss out on Veronica’s Strip, a complex that houses rows of famously rowdy hot spots. One of these is The Sound of Cream, which many consider to be the most spirited nightclub on the island. It has a large dance floor, a billiards room, and a deck outdoors for those who wish to enjoy the weather.

Los Cristianos, the other major resort district, is home to a host of lively bars and clubs. Oasis Del Sur, much like the Veronica’s strip in Playa de las Americas, packs a lot of nighttime action into one area. Bar 39 is a member of this group and offers nightly musical acts and karaoke. Closer to the beachfront, you’ll find bars like Chicago’s and Dreamers that also features nightly entertainment in the form of celebrity impersonators and disco bands. In Los Cristianos, you need only walk around for a minute or two before you hear music and crowd roars piping out from fun places all over town.

Partaking in Tenerife nightlife guarantees you a good time, and it also gives you the chance to mingle with fellow visitors from all over the world. You can walk into a bar in any region of the island and find people from various continents mixing company. Take a mid-afternoon nap if it’s necessary, but find a way to save some energy for the late evening hours in Tenerife.
